Esa Riippa, "Afternoon"

Esa Riippa (1947) is a Finnish graphic artist. Many of Riipa's works are quiet surrealism , influenced by Japanese woodblock prints. The subjects are mostly landscapes, still lifes and domestic scenes with a "geeky" element.

Riippa received the State Prize for Fine Arts in 1977 and Pro Finlandia medal in 2000.
