The A337 pendant lamp designed by Alvar Aalto consists of nested rings, a reflector plate and an arm. Its appearance resembles a floating object and has earned it the nickname The Flying Saucer. Designed in 1957, the A337 lamp exudes Aalto's signature style and is suitable for a variety of spaces.

The lamp was manufactured by Valaistustyö Ky, a lighting factory in Helsinki founded by Finnish master metalsmith Viljo Hirvonen in 1952. Hirvonen developed lighting designs in collaboration with Aalto, the most famous of which were lamps such as Mehiläispesä, Kultakello and this Flying Saucer that is now on sale.
